Seriously. I had trouble with my X51 Alienware Tower pretty much right when I got it. I upgraded the graphics driver and the BIOS and it fixed the BSOD I was getting a ton of times a day. It was working great for awhile. Then this morning, I go to start up the computer when I woke up before 6am cause Hunter woke up, and lo and behold, it wouldn’t start up. It was stuck in the Windows Recovery Screen. Lovely. Nothing would work, not even a clean install.
So called up Tech Support did the various things that I had already done again with Maykol and hoped that it would work. Nope nothing. And the system scan we did, turned up nothing wrong.
I’m now waiting for a new hard drive and the tech person to call me to install it for me. I hope that will fix it and we can somehow get the old stuff off the old hard drive onto the new.
Now I’m going to be looking into getting an external hard drive. They are important y’all!.
At least I have a laptop that I can get some work done on. But from dealing with that all morning and it ruined my day. Now I have to pack for a weekend getaway to PA for my husband’s great Aunt’s surprise birthday party! At least that will help take my mind off the computer situation.

I have a mac and it’s a pain too…after the initial high, I find all the issues annoying. My volume stopped working for no reason, it’s almost a week before we can get an appt to see someone to fix it (apple customer service is a stinker doodie), and this is after the battery swelled up for no reason, breaking some keys and making the mouse track pad not work (and they wanted to charge to fix it because we bought it over a year ago, even though this means we got a lemon and they shouldn’t charge us anything)
Also having problems with my iPhone and it’s only 2 months old, and instead of replacing it they reinstalled the software to see how that works first…meanwhile, they deleted all the photos on it to reinstall, and I had to reset everything.
Once Steve Jobs went, so did the company it seems…are there any good computer companies with food customer service??
I hope you can forget about it while you are away, because it’s never ending, so why ruin a good weekend?

Yes I have a love hate relationship with a lot of technology it seems. Except for my Nikon and iPad. Now I kinda want to know what the problem is with the Kinect lol. We hardly use ours yet.
With the last big x-box update it just stopped working…for a lot of users…of course Microsoft says that it’s not them. I find it funny though that it worked one day…then we did the update and now nothing. We have only had it for a year too.

I have a macbook and an iMac and love them both. @penelope did it stop working after you put headphones in? Mine did that once I just had to reinsert the headphones jiggle and remove (this was on my macbook) never had a problem with my iMac
Maybe I should invest in an iMac one day.. so scary though LOL.

Yes I got to semi-relax lol. Cory asked why I wasn’t bringing my laptop with me. I was like no more technology other then my phone! Want to get away from it all.

I think it’s cause Dell bought out Alienware and they went down the tubes. I hate Dell before this, I hate them more now.

I hate Dell too. I didn’t realize Alienware was bought out by them until I got to Best Buy. And it was the best computer they had in stock. Ugh.
