The Medium Next DoorI think I have found one of my new favorite books ever in The Medium Next Door. It’s the True Life adventures of Ghost Whisperer Maureen Hancock. Seriously she is my new hero, and I really wish this book was longer. But! She is making a tv series where we are going to get to follow her around and see what she does best! Can not wait for that.

“It’s basically part memoir about my life as a medium, yet I’m just like your next door neighbor…only I hear and see dead people,” Hancock explains. “I write about my work with the sick and dying, helping people pass, assisting detectives to help find missing children and adults, and some profound readings that have changed families’ lives.”

I am in love with the knowledge of ghosts. So this book was right up my alley. But just reading Maureen’s life story, and all of the tragic events she has personally lived through and how strong and positive she is. Inspiring. The work that she does pro bono for many others through her Seeds of Hope Non-Profit Charity is astounding. I really want to go to one of her Postcards from Heaven meetings. I don’t think there is anyone I want to get in touch with that has passed away, maybe my grandmother that I never got to meet. But I just want to be there and see her in action!

I haven’t talked much about the book have I? Amazing. Inspiring. Soul-Touching. All of that and more. I cried a lot. I laughed! My emotions was taken all over the place. But after I finished the book in less than 24 hours, I feel like a new person. The people she has touched in person and online is amazing. Her message is amazing. I really hope that every single one of you that reads this post, will go and buy the book. You will not be disappointed and it could change your life!

More about her Television show that I absoutetly can not wait to watch.

Ian Sander and Kim Moses (aka Sander/ Moses) are signed by Disney ABC to be the executive producers of psychic medium Maureen Hancock’s life in her 2011 reality TV pilot for her upcoming reality TV series Sander/ Moses Productions was the executive production team of the hugely popular Ghost Whisperer TV series.

Maureen HancockNot only is she a Medium. She is a mother of 2 young boys! It seems like she does a great time balancing work and family life. Which is great for me because I sometimes have a problem doing that.

Today, known as the “Medium Mom,” Maureen strives to balance her motherhood and mediumship. “Other than my work with the sick and dying, helping parents who’ve lost children is a top priority for me,” Maureen Hancock explained. “I receive at least 10 new requests per week from parents who have recently lost a child. “ She provides free sessions to connect families for closure and peace. “It feels really good to say I never charge for my private medium sessions.”

Hancock volunteers her gift and speaking experience to raise funds for many non-profit  organizations, both local and internationally known. “I receive requests from various parts of the country now on missing persons and murder cases. Currently, I’m assisting a female homicide detective in North Carolina on a few cases,” Hancock explained.

She is especially proud of raising funds through her Postcards from Heaven events to bring several children to the United States each year for much needed medical treatment and a summer holiday away from the debilitating environment from which
they live.

The Medium Next Door will be released on May 2nd! Pre-order it now on Amazon.com for only $7.82.

  1. I love that it’s expanding beyond the book, but I always like reading the book first. Thanks for the great review. I’m stumbling it!

    • I hope she writes more books personally. Love books more than tv or movie.. but at least the tv is following her around. :) Thanks for the Stumble!

  2. I hadn’t heard of this book, but it sounds very interesting. She must be one special person. On top of living every day life with all of its challenges, she sees dead people along the way. I’m pleased she puts her “gift” to good use. Warms my heart.

Maureen’s new show is called “Psychic in Suburbia” and it premieres next Saturday, July 30 at 9pm ET/PT on The Style Network! She’s amazing and her gift is even cooler when you can actually see her in the act!

    • Damn I’m going to be on vacation when it premieres. Hopefully I can convince everyone that mommy needs to watch tv.. and they have that network at the hotel. Thanks so much for letting me know!!

I watched “Physic in Suburbia last night.” ? I have always had supernatural experiences, but cannot understand what the meaning is and became very much afraid. When will the program be on TV again. Thanks, Patricia
