I usually find myself in a rut for making meals… I’m sure I’m not the only one. Once in awhile I’ll look for new recipes but that’s not too often. Which is sad. I signed up to review The Fresh 20, which is a weekly meal plan maker. It gives you meals for Monday thru Friday, so only 5 meals a week. Which is fine with me since we usually eat out twice a week anyways.
There are 3 options for meal plans. You can choose the Classic, Gluten-Free, or Vegetarian. Love that they offer a Gluten-Free option! I went with the classic because we have no limits on our foods.
For the first week there were some awesome meals. Now I didn’t cook them all because I didn’t think our family would eat it, and than it turned out some of the product I bought never ripened in time for me to be able to make it. Which was sad. I must say though that with this meal plan it was the most time I’ve ever spent in the produce section. It was so nice to be able to buy a lot of fresh foods and than cook with it. I need to do it more often.
For the most part the meals were actually really simple to make. Not time consuming at all, which is nice because sometimes I don’t have the energy to be creating complex meals. The 2 meals I did end up making were divine. My husband, whom was skeptical of me even doing this, said that I created restaurant quality food.
I made Grilled Stuffed Peppers:
I also made Shrimp Fajitas:
Overall I love the meal plans! Some of the stuff I know we won’t eat, but it was nice to try some new meals that we enjoyed! I’m going to keep on using The Fresh 20 because it’s cheap and it’s helping me get some different meals on the table. The price for an Annual membership is $49, which is for 50 weeks. The other option is to pay for it by month (It’s charged for 3 months at a time) for $5 a month. Everyone should be able to afford this!
