Usually we go to my Aunt’s house for Thanksgiving, this year is no different. But we have gotten a few free turkey’s at Price Chopper this year so I decided to cook a Turkey and make some stuffing for our Sunday dinner. I have made stuffing before from my MIL’s recipe but I decided to stick with the recipe on Swanson’s website. It’s called the Moist & Savory Stuffing. When Swanson’s asked me to be apart of the Swanson’s Great Stuffing Debate I was ready and willing!
2 1/2 cups Swanson® Chicken Broth (Regular, Natural Goodness™ or Certified Organic)
Generous dash ground black pepper
2 stalks celery, coarsely chopped (about 1 cup)
1 large onion, coarsely chopped (about 1 cup)
1 package (14 ounces) Pepperidge Farm® Herb Seasoned Stuffing
- Heat the broth, black pepper, celery and onion in a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the stuffing and mix lightly.
- Spoon the stuffing mixture into a greased 3-quart shallow baking dish. Cover the baking dish.
- Bake at 350°F. for 30 minutes or until the stuffing mixture is hot.
The Great Stuffing Debate:
There are so many different kinds of stuffing recipes out there. Many of you have your favorite kind! I’m still discovering my favorite. But Swanson loves stuffing! Which is why they are hosting “The Great Stuffing Debate“. On the site, you can find recipes, cast your vote, see dancing turkeys and view Swanson’s line of products. I loved the video that they made for the Debate! Check it out:
