I got the chance to review the Sound Step Recharge by SoundFreaq. I wanted to review it in the first place because it’s a speaker system for iOS devices and Andriod that can connect with Bluetooth. See I have an Otterbox Defender case for my 1st Gen iPad, it’s a pain in the butt to take off. Most speaker systems make you take it off so that it can dock, but with the Bluetooth technology I don’t have to do it.
There isn’t much music in my iTunes library anymore. Mainly because I apparently didn’t transfer all of my music over again when my last HD dried on me. Whoops! But that’s okay. I signed up for the Premium Spotify so I would be able to use that on my iPad and get it to play on my Sound Freaq. It works perfectly! I was jamming out to the music, then Landon wanted the iPad. So I gave it to him thinking I would still be able to listen to my music while folding the laundry, but alas I started hearing the Jake and the Neverland Pirates App starting up. My fun time was over and back to the drudgery of folding laundry in silence.

You don’t have to use it just for playing music. As I learned before I read everything about the speaker, you can use it for your Apps as well. Of course you can use it for videos and games too! Makes watching a movie that much more enjoyable. The speaker can get quiet loud which is perfect, but the sound quality is amazing. I’m astounded by the quality.
Also you will be able to +6 hours of AC-free listening with a built-in rechargeable battery and take Sound Step Recharge with you anywhere around the house. Just charge it 12 hours before using it the first time then you are good to go after that. I love that it has a rechargeable battery! Will be great for when we are hanging our or having a party outside to be able to bring the music out with us!
Now the Sound Step Recharge also comes with a remote. It is also handily stored in the bottom of the speaker so less chance of losing it. Now you can also access buttons on the speaker itself to control some settings. But if you do lose the remote, don’t worry. Sound Freaq has an app that you can download for free (SoundFreaq Remote) onto your device and you can use that as well, you do need to use the app if you are going to want to use the FM Radio.

I am just thrilled to be able to have SoundFreaq in my home! It’s going to make cooking dinner, folding laundry, cleaning the house, much more fun for me since I love to sing. Makes the time go by quicker.
Discount Offer: When you go to the Soundfreaq e-store and enter the discount code “momblog” you will receive a 10% discount on the Sound Step Recharge and all other products in the store. The Sound Step Recharge is $149.99 and it does come in other colors as well! There are some speakers that are less money and some that are more. Pick what you want but I really recommend the one that I received and got to try out!
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Soundfreaq and received a product sample to facilitate my review.

Now that remote storage is just genius. I’ve had a few different iPhone players in the house that came with remotes … which are now nowhere to be found. That 10% discount is making this very tempting for me. I’d love to have music in my kitchen while I’m cleaning and cooking.
I am super tempted to purchase another one myself, just because I love the product so much. I need to figure out if I can get it for anyone for Christmas!
Very cool
I think I could use one of these in my home!
Yes you could Tammy! When you are busy moving soon it’ll help you groove to the music.
I’ve been looking for a speaker for my phone! This is really neat, and I love that the remote has a storage spot.
I think this could be the best speaker you could get!
Thanks for this review. I’ve been looking for a unique gift idea for my husband for Christmas and this speaker system would not be something he would expect from me. I love being able to surprise him!
You are welcome.
I hope if you did get it, he enjoys it! Maybe it’ll inspire him to do chores.
