Can you believe that, as of today, there are 56 days until Christmas?! It’s crazy. I am usually an early shopper. I make my to-shop-for list in about July and start filling it in. Because I start so early, I am typically done shopping before December 1. This year that is just not the case.
Here’s my list:
I REALLY need to get moving!
Walmart’s 2012 Toyland Wish List book is out, and I couldn’t be more grateful! I pulled it up on the computer, gave my kids a pencil & paper and let them write down everything they wanted – and it really wasn’t all that much!
After that, I left my husband in charge of the kids so I could have {at least} an hour at Walmart to knock out part of my list. The problem with that is I only bought ONE thing; the LEGO Ninjago Samurai Mech 9448 Play Set for $39.97.
I would have loved to purchase some Disney die cast Cars, but Walmart didn’t have anything we don’t already have. I didn’t find anything else my kids HAD to have (or that I wanted to add to our disaster of a play room). I am hoping to see more really great toys before December rolls around!
Here are some great ways that Walmart is making Christmas Shopping easier!
- All toys priced $15 or more are available through Walmart’s layaway program. If a customer puts a toy on layaway and Walmart rolls back the price later in the season, Walmart will honor the rolled-back price if it is in effect at the time of final payment.
- Walmart will match competitor pricing during checkout for layaway products through its ad match policy. Customers will be able to pick up their toys once they complete their layaway payments. Once completed, customers will receive a full refund of the $5 layaway open fee on a Walmart gift card.
- Walmart and Walmart.com will offer thousands of toys from top brands throughout the toy department in stores and online at low prices all season long. Walmart has also kicked off “Toyland Tuesday” savings with new rollbacks on toys every Tuesday through Christmas.
