New Year New Me!

8 Flares 8 Flares ×

Well I am getting back on the wagon again. I need to lose a ton of weight. I was doing good when I did Slim-Fast… but then I stopped and got pregnant. I gained a bunch of weight for the 17 weeks I was pregnant. And I think it’s just messed me up since then. So now I need to get back to taking care of myself and feeling fabulous!

I am going to be doing a bunch of different things to hopefully add up to something that works for me. I’m mainly doing the HCG diet but modified. I’m not following their food suggestions, but cutting back and eating more healthy things. Who knew that cucumbers were so delicious! And I’m measuring out how much creamer I am putting in my coffee in the morning, I was using up a lot of calories on that before!

I’ll also be adding in Juicing which I will be talking about more in another post. The HealthEar, which will be talked about soon, is another tool I am using.

I have lost some weight so far and I am feeling motivated. I hope that keeps up and I can lose the 100 lbs that I want to use. I know it’s going to take a lot of hard work, but I want to be a Skinny Minnie. (Didn’t Rosie used to say that?) Plus I want to be able to be more active with my kids. I really can’t wait for the spring so I can get outside and spend more time out in the backyard with the boys and dog. Take them to the park… and just be more active outside of the home!

Scale

Once Landon starts school in the Fall, should be only half day, I will be joining the gym since I will have time. I am also going to be apart of a great group of ladies in hopes to be motivated and lose more weight. I’ll be talking about that more in the future as well.

I wanted to put it out there when I started this journey I weighed 233lbs. That way I can update and show you all how much I have lost. I should have done body measurements too but I forgot too. Whoops.

So be on the lookout for updates from me! And maybe some great juicing recipes and more as I take on this journey of getting fit. Hopefully I inspire some to get healthy with me.

  3. Be sure to take your measurements too. Upping your workouts, especially with strength training can sometimes halt progress on the scale… but you are still getting slimmer.

  10. I’m so happy for you, Alison! I know you can do it! I lost almost 100 pounds in 2003 (I started at 225 lbs.) and I’ve kept almost all of it off. If I can do it, anyone can! I’m trying to lose a little weight this year too, so we should help keep each other in check. :) And I can’t wait to hear about your juicing–I’ve been wanting to do that too.

  12. I got on that train last summer and starting by measuring all my food. It was eye opening.

I am rooting you on! Wishing you success and a feeling of accomplishment in the upcoming months.

    • How are you doing with it!? I started by measuring my creamer in my coffee. My big bottle lasted 2 weeks instead of the usual 1… kinda gross now that I think about how much I was putting in there! Haha
