Giveaway now closed. Thanks!
I am so honored to be able to review Mommy Meditations . I was just talking to my husband about wanting to meditate because I was feeling way to stressed out as being a mom. And than I found Mommy Meditations!
Mommy Meditations was conceived by Dr. Kerri Parks, a OB/GYN and Mommy to 4. Dr. Kerri “has personally battled with postpartum depression and overcoming the loss of her husband to a fatal crash just days before the birth of her 4th child.” Mommy Meditations is the first part in a series to come to help mothers overcome the physical and mental challenges coming after childbirth.
The Guided Meditation track is amazing. I don’t think that I have personally felt that relaxed before. This is the first time that I have ever meditated and I don’t know why I never did it before. Dr. Kerri Parks has such a nice soothing voice. Also the 14 minutes the track runs did not seem that long at all. When she said we were over with the guided meditation I was amazed because it only felt like a few moments. I will be doing this part every single day, I really think it will make me feel like a much calmer person. I think my son Hunter will appreciate that a lot since I have been snapping at him a lot lately, because he’s acting how is supposed to at almost 3 years old.
The Momtras are little sayings that you can repeat after her out loud or in your head. Play this track whenever you can! It’s quick and easy and if you keep on doing it you will believe it is true! Sayings like “I deserve breaks” and “I’m a wonderful mother” are great things to hear. I know as a mother and housewife I don’t think I should get breaks. If both kids are sleeping at the same time (a miracle!) I feel like I should go clean. But now I will give myself that much needed break. There are other great sayings as well during the Momtras.
The last track is just an instrumental track. You can use it for your own personal meditation or just play it while you are going about your day to give a peaceful atmosphere. I think I will be playing this track a lot. It’s so soothing and calming, I think just hearing it will do me good.
Now you can win an MP3 version of Mommy Meditations! This giveaway will be open internationally (As long as you can download from Amazon). The giveaway will end on March 29, 2010.
