Miracle-Gro Kids Review and Giveaway

Miracle-Gro KidsI’m trying to get the boys outside more and enjoy nature and the way of things. So it’s perfect when I was asked to review some of the products in the Miracle-Gro Kids line, which is a team up of the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company and Peachtree Playthings. They can plant flowers and veggies and watch them grow! Plus they have a blast helping me water them.

I got to try out 2 cool products. The Miracle-Gro Kids Root Viewer and the Miracle-Gro Kids Modpot Planters. They have much more then those 2 products in their line, and actually I’ll be giving away something completely different that I thought would appeal to all kids (and maybe some adults too haha). The other nice thing is that they include plant care instructions, and the Gro-Mix actually changes color so you know when the plants need more water. Takes the guess work out of watering!

The Miracle-Gro Kids Root Viewer seems like it’s going to be a lot of fun. They have a piece of cardboard that you remove from the side, so that you can check out the roots as they grow. You need the cardboard there because the roots won’t grow unless it’s dark, so it’s nice to be able to peek in and see how they are doing! My husband even loved this one, and he said if he taught this in his level of Science he would get something like this for the kids to watch! The Root Viewer retails at $12.99.

Hunter had such a great time and took his job seriously that I gave him. Which was helping me mix and stir the dirt to let it expand. Then we had fun scooping it into the containers. I admit I got very dirty and so did he. Laughs were had!

The other product the ModPot Planters from Miracle-Gro is such a cute idea! The planters you can hook together to each other! They come in either flowers or veggies and they are in different colors. I love the modern style of it all. I don’t know if it’s me though, or the product, but nothing is growing from that one yet. It seems like there was not enough dirt in the packets. But they retail  at $2.99 so it’s an easy pick up! And I’m sure  you can just add more soil to it and it won’t be a problem!

Now for the fun part of the post. Where I get to giveaway something. This time it’s going to be for Disney Mickey Mouse Greenhouse! Under the iconic shape of the most famous mouse in the world, you will be able to grow a bountiful vegetable garden! How fun!

a Rafflecopter giveawayDisclaimer: I received the above products that I photographed in order to write my review. No other compensation was provided.
