Medimates-helping to keep our kids with allergies safe!

When my youngest was a baby, we found out we had to eliminate dairy from his/my diet and it instantly scared me.  Years later my oldest developed an allergy to penicillin. I’m thankful that in both cases we were given a lot of information to educate us on both allergies but I knew that it was going to be up to us to make sure the boys didn’t come in contact with either, and one way to do that was to have them wear medical alert bracelets. A few years ago, all I had heard about were the older style  metal bracelets but now that I’ve discovered MediMates, and my kids no longer squawk when having to wear their bracelets!

MediMates and Allermates was created by Iris Shamus who has a son with several food allergies and the fear of sending him to school after an exposure caused a severe reaction spun an idea to help keep him safe! It started with fun stories and poems to help her son  keep a positive attitude about his allergies, which turned into fun characters which were put onto dog tags they made together!
Medimates carries a variety of products for people with food allergies and other health concerns such as asthma and diabetes. You’ll find: wristbands, Allermates lunch bags and snack bags, Epi pen bags, asthma inhaler cases, stickers to mark your childs products, and more! The designs  combine safety and style!

If you have a child with  allergies, Medimates is a must have.  There are so many products at great prices that will help you feel at ease when sending your child to school, you will not regret checking out these products! Gluten Free? There are products for you! Asthma? Yes, products for you! One in 13 children in the United States suffer from food allergies, approximately 3% suffer from sting related allergies-One study shows that roughly 25% of children suffer from their first allergic reaction to peanuts or tree nuts at school. Founder Iris Shamus has a saying: “The greatest gift you can give your kids is safety.”

I will keep this in mine for sure. i have a grandson that has had allergy issues forever and now he is at the age where they can test him to find out what all he is allergic to. This is great information, thank you

This is a good idea, my son wore a silver bracelet when he was in school that wasn’t kid appropriate, so this one is great, kids would love wearing it :)

This is a good idea as many times a child wont tell you they have an allergy or cant tell you and by seeing this you could avoid alot of problems.
