I had the honor of reviewing a great app for kids on my iPad! Well actually Hunter got to review it and I just watched him enjoy it. The Letter Buddies AlphaBooks app is wonderful, you may think you are just getting one book. But your really getting a book for each letter of the Alphabet (X, Y, Z combined in one book).
This app is perfect for ages 2-6 but Landon is enjoying it at age 19 months. Though mainly he just likes flipping the pages and looking at the pictures! Hunter was laughing at a few spots, like where one of the letter’s elbow was in a bowl of soup! After the page was read to him, he was repeating exactly what was said to him. Also this is an app where he just didn’t use it once. He used it again the next day on his own, and a few more times after that.
Here is some info about the app

Now you may be interested in some background on how and why this app was created! Kevin and his wife launched Cavallo Media after spending more than 8 years developing educational materials for the school markets in the U.S. and Canada. Now, they are taking their experiences working with young students, classroom teachers and educational experts and combining them with the exciting developments in mobile technology to bring parents and their kids easily-accessible, meaningfully-educational and fun applications that will help young children become strong, independent readers.
My husband is an 9th grade Science teacher, so he can be strict on apps that are geared toward being educational. He gives Letter Buddies Alphabooks 2 thumbs up! He has enjoyed going through the books with Hunter and he can see the value in this app. So if my husband likes it, well I know it’s extra good!
You can buy this app for your child to enjoy it in the Apple Store for only $5.99! It’s available for the iPad, iPhone and iTouch. Well worth the money since it’s just not 1 book but 24 (X, Y, Z combined in one book).
Disclaimer: I revived a free code to get the app so that I can review it. No other compensation was provided.
