I wish you were in school so I could talk about how well you are doing. But alas that’s not until Monday! And I hope you have a fantastic time, even though you don’t want to go to school and you want to stay home with me. Mommy is kinda excited to have a little bit of time by herself each day now. She may be throwing a party on Monday as well.
I am so sorry that you haven’t been feeling well and had a double ear infection this week. With a temp of 104.5 I took you straight to the doctor. Of course by then your temp had gone down to 101.5 and then an hour after the dr it was back up to 103.5. Keeping me on my toes! I’m kind of glad that ear infections don’t hurt you, but again we would know sooner that something else is up if it did hurt you. I remember when I was little and had ear infections, I would cry and cry cause they hurt so bad. So I’m glad you don’t have to experience that pain! I can tell you are doing better because you have been doing nothing other then fighting with your brother.
You have been off speech therapy for a few weeks now but I’m glad you are going back next week. I’ve been working with you on some words and you are getting some. You can now say a 2 word sentence. “Up Ma.” Which I got you to say up since you are always wanting to get into the freezer. So now when you want to do that, you say Up Ma. Or you say it whenever you feel like it. When we were in Wildwood, NJ I got you to say SaSa for your cousin Sara. The other 2 of the triplets we will work on. Cause I know you love those girls! Now I’m working on bus. You can say bu pause s. Now hopefully we can put that together. Pah tee for potty so you can say that at school. I’m trying to think of words that you can say with the small amount of sounds you can make. And it’s working!
You will finally be starting speech therapy with a person that does the Prompt method, which is 2 of the methods that seem to work with kids with Speech Apraxia. I can’t wait! I’ve been waiting for this day, and I wish you had this over the summer. But better late then never! I hope you bloom. Otherwise I need to go into your next IEP and ask for as device that will help you talk. I want you to be able to participate in class, cause I know you are a smart one!
Even though you drive me crazy sometimes, you are the sweetest most cutest little boy ever. And I am so glad you are mine!
