I am the techie in my house. When we got our new Sony Bravia TV, I’m the one that hooked up all the cables and stuff for it. So I love trying out new things, or at least new to me. On my list of things to try out one day is a TiVo. Because with kids and husband I don’t always get to watch the tv shows that I want to watch, when they are airing. TiVo would be able to help with that in allowing me to record things!

TiVo has many benefits that I didn’t even know about! Hopefully this helps you with gathering more info in case you want to get it as well!
TiVo Benefits:
TiVo’s DVR platform provides what most DVR’s can’t – Integration with Netflix, Amazon, Hulu while also including other applications such as Pandora, Spotify, and more.
Tivo’s DVR also integrates seamlessly across both mobile and iPad, allowing the busy customer to watch while on the go.

The TiVo Premier is customized for the home environment and family. Whether you want to connect content to your iPad or computer, you can do so. Take a bigger look here: http://www3.tivo.com/products/tivo-wholehome/index.html
Television is still being watched live, but more and more it’s not. And not always shows are being watched on a regular television. Read these interesting facts on how the television industry is moving towards.
- According to Accenture, 49% of consumers now view OTT content as well as usual TV.
- According to Pew Research 46 percent of adult ‘net users are creating their own content and 41 percent are helping reach an even wider audience by reposting it on social media sites.
- InMobi states that of the many uses of mobile, 70% of consumer will or would use it to watch television or some form of online content.
They have a great deal running right now where you will save $50 on select TiVo’s. They are calling it the Big Game Big Savings. And the coupon code for that is BigGame.
I wish I had asked for a TiVo for Christmas. But now I’m just going to have to buy one myself since I’ve been wanting one for so long. I think the house would benefit from it, and enjoy it a lot.

I don’t have Tivo. It would be nice to record shows and skip commercials.
I have a DVR through my cable, but not a TIVO. I’m not sure I understand the difference. Either way, I love recording my shows! And being able to fast forward through commercials is wonderful since many commercials aren’t family friendly these days.
We have a DVR, but no TIVO. I would love the “Season Pass” options!

It would be nice to have for when the hubby is at work and misses his shows.
We’re a 3 TiVo house, including 2 premieres
I have TiVo. Got my first one in 2000. I now have the TiVo XL HD model. Not much can beat the TiVO!!! The cable DVR boxes really have nothing on TiVo technology. There is one rub…if you bought lifetime service on your box, there is currently no way to upgrade to the Premier. TiVo will tell you that the subscription is tied to the box. That is NOT true. I have had minor problems with my box (ended up being settings), and tech support told me I could send my box back for a refurbished one for a small fee. My service would then be transferred to this new box. So, the “service tied to your box” is just to get you to have an additional subscription.
My family doesn’t have Tivo… we don’t even have a DVR!! Tivo is a name I’ve heard a lot for a long time, so they seem like the logical choice!
I don’t have a TiVo but I would like one so I could transfer my favorite shows onto my iPad and take them on the road and not miss any of my favorites.
We used to have on but since we got Dish we have DVR with our package. I loved it when I had it though!
I don’t have a TiVo.
