I love my Windows Phone. I’ve had it for about 7 months now, and I adore it. Except for the camera. Now they aren’t all uniform phones like the iPhone is. So it depends on what phone you have, on how the camera is going to be. But the HTC Trophy for Verizon, does not have a good camera at all.
I headed into NYC last Wednesday night for an event. The event was for the launch of the 2 newest Windows Phones. And they are gorgeous, and take amazing photos. They are the Nokia Lumia 900 and the HTC Titan II. Both phones are only available on AT&T, which I’m super bummed about. I want them! We have Verizon, and our contract is up in June. So I may be leaving them to go get the better Windows Phones.

HTC Titan II
For moms the camera is key on a camera. I don’t want to be lugging my Nikon around wherever I go, so having a camera conveniently on the phone is great! Just take it out and snap. And with the Windows Phone I don’t even have to have the phone switched to viewing to take a photo. Hold down the camera key on the side, and the camera will just come on and you can snap a picture so easily.
But I know the phones are better on the new Windows Phones. A Rep took a picture with one of the new phones, then I took a picture with my old Windows Phone, and yeah mine looked horrible. Compared to the HTC Titan II that I tested it out against, it was way below sub-par. The Lumia 900 also takes amazing pictures.

Lumia 900
I’ve heard rave reviews of the Lumia 900 from numerous sources on the web. Mainly TechCrunch because that’s what I read almost every single day to keep up with my Tech news.
I should have taken pictures of the phones. But I was just enjoying myself, talking with the Windows Phone PR team (They are super nice and made me feel very welcomed) and learning some new tricks about my Windows Phone. (I can show you a picture of NYC from where I was standing on a rooftop deck though!)

People may be wary of trying out a Windows Phone. It’s the new kid on the block. But it’s going to be around for a long time, it’s just functional! You don’t have to go to one app to do one thing, and another for something else. It’s quick and linear. I’m sure other Windows Phones owners would tell you that they love their phone as much as I love mine!

I have to say my windows phone was pretty quick and very table (ie not shutting down, freezing up) but I just couldn’t leave android. iPhone and Android aren’t THAT differnt(based on my iPad) but Windows is like a totally new universe. I just wasn’t up for relearning all my apps and everything. But it was realiable.
I do have an iPad. Not an iPhone. The one downside though of Windows Phone is that there isn’t a lot of apps out there. It is a great starter Smart Phone though. Which is what they are touting. This was my first smart phone so I think it was perfect for me. Probably easier to pick up since I didn’t have any other experience with other ones.
I absolutely agree that if it had just been what I learned I think it’d be great. But I felt like I had a huge learning curve on my first android smart phone, and each model is SLIGHTLY different. But I was just to lazy to relearn. So I gave it to my husband and took his phone. He was totally happy as he’s beta testing Windows 8 and it looks just like the Windows phone.
YES! When I saw that Windows 8 looks like my Windows Phone I was so excited!! Because I love the Live Tiles and I’m used to that phone! I just got to Wins 7 yesterday, but I may try beta testing Windows 8 too. I want to get a touch screen monitor first.
A touch screen monitor would be sooo cool. I feel like an idiot when I spend too much time on my ipad and then get on my laptop or desktop and try to touch the screen lol
hahaha! I haven’t done that yet. But my 2 and a half year old has tried to touch the monitor to do things.
