How To Train Your Dragon Review

How To Train Your Dragon Combo PackWhen I saw the previews for How To Train Your Dragon on tv when the movie was out in theaters I thought it looked so cool! I love Dragons! But we don’t really go to the movie theaters, we wait for movies to come out on DVD. So now I got 2 DVDs. The movie came out in a twin pack with How To Train Your Dragon as well as the Legend of the  BoneKnapper Dragon.

A little bio about the twin pack:

How To Train Your Dragon
A winner with audiences and critics alike, DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon rolls fire-breathing action, epic adventure and laughs into a captivating and original story. Hiccup is a young Viking who defies tradition when he befriends one of his deadliest foes – a ferocious dragon he calls Toothless. Together, the unlikely heroes must fight against all odds to save both their worlds in this “wonderful good-time hit!” (Gene Shalit, Today).

Legend of the Boneknapper Dragon
Hiccup and the Viking gang are back to battle Gobber’s archenemy – the legendary BoneKnapper dragon – in this full-“scale” action-adventure. Shipwrecked on a mysterious island, the courageous kids devise a plan to capture the cagey creatures…if he even exists!

Hunter didn’t want to watch it because he was scared of the Dragons, but he did get into the movie. I loved it! I thought it was adorable and funny! I know we are going to be watching these movies many many times. I thought it was a very witty movie, some of the jokes flew right over Hunter’s head but were hysterical for me. There were also parts that he was laughing at. I have a special place in my heart for animated movies and How to Train Your Dragon has exceeded my expectations that I had.

I haven’t yet gotten to watch the Legend of the Boneknapper Dragon because Hunter has been back on a Thomas kick. But I will soon, even if I have to do it when Hunter is sleeping!

Buy It Now: You can purchase the Combo Pack on Amazon for $20.49. (I saw it at Price Chopper for $25!)

Disclaimer: I received the combo pack in order to write my honest opinion of the movie.

I caught this on Saturday with the kids and they absolutely loved it. i thought it was a pretty damn good movie myself. Being a dragon lover and all, it was good to see an animated movie that had dragons as semi-good guys. (Milan doesn’t not count). lol Later!
