I am loving my Windows 8 Laptop, this time it’s an Acer that I am going to review eventually. But first I wanted to share some helpful Windows 8 Shortcut Keys in hopes that it may help some others out there!
Windows 8 Shortcut Keys:
- Windows Button + F1 – Show Help
- Windows Button + C – Open Charms
- Windows Button + D – Show Desktop
- Windows Button + F – Search for Files
- Windows Button + H – Share
- Windows Button + I – PC Settings
- Windows Button + K – Devices
- Windows Button + L – Lock PC
- Windows Button + O – Lock Orientation
- Windows Button + P – Project
- Windows Button + Q – Search for Apps
- Windows Button + R – Run
- Windows Button + W – Search Settings
- Windows Button + X – Quick Menu
- Windows Button + Z – Context Menu
- Windows Button + Plus Sign (+) – Zoom In
- Windows Button + Minus Sign (_) – Zoom Out
- Windows Button + Ctrl + Tab – Show Recent Apps
- Windows Button + Tab – Switch Recent Apps
- Windows Button + Period (.) – Snap an App
- Windows Button + Print – Screen Capture
- Alt + F4 – Close
Now I just have to remember to use these shortcuts myself to help make life easier!

This is a great post and really helps me b/c I am a MAC girl all the way but my boys both got Windows based computers for Christmas so I definitely need all the help I can get LOL
