FitBit Review

FitBit

It looks like the Fitbit Ultra, which I reviewed below, is no longer being sold. The Fitbit ONE took it’s place and it looks awesome!

If you are looking for something that is fun and motivating to get walking, you should look into the FitBit! I’ve had one for months now, but got out of using it. But it’s easy to use, and since it syncs to their website it’s an easy to way to look at all the info. Plus if you have friends using it too, you can compete against them!

The Fitbit tracks the steps you’ve taken, the calories you’ve burned, as well as how many flights of steps. It’ll also keep track of your sleep pattern. Where it will show you how long it takes for you to get to sleep, as well as how many times you are moving around or up at night too! Their is a cute flower too that grows the more active you are.

When I was at BlogHer I saw the most steps I’ve ever taken. I took a picture of it since I know I’ll probably not see that again. Y’all you do a lot of walking. Though by the third day I was slowing down, but still proud of myself. I can’t wait to see what my step count is going to be when we go to the beach next week!

FitBit

Even kids are interested in the FitBit! Hunter has been asking me lately how many steps I’ve been taking. I guess he sees me looking at it a lot. Haha. But he wanted to know how many steps he has taken… which I don’t know. I do have my first FitBit, that I’m going to charge up and let him wear. That way he can see how many steps he’s taking, and maybe it’ll motivate him to move around more to get more steps in. I can challenge my own kid to see who can win!

My fellow blogger friend, Kim from What’s That Smell, is actually the one that encouraged me to get a FitBit. (I think, pregnancy brain is not fun.) So she offered to provide me with a quote to share with you in this review!

Fitbit helps me maintain control of my activity each day. It encourages and reminds me to get moving, and because my friends are using it too, we have fun with friendly competition and trying to “out-step” each other every day. It’s actually fun to workout!

You can purchase the FitBit on/at Best Buy for $99. There are 2 colors that you can choose from:

Fitbit – Ultra Wireless Activity and Sleep Tracker – Black/Plum

Fitbit – Ultra Wireless Activity and Sleep Tracker – Black/Blue

  1. I really want a Fitbit. I need something better to help me maintain my weight and track what I’m doing on a daily basis. Look at all those steps mama!!!

    • You should get one! They are a lot of fun. :) And yes that was a lot of steps, only cause I was walking so much in NYC. I may never see that again. LOL

  2. I didn’t bring mine because I was afraid I’d lose it, but now I’m so curious how many steps I took while there. My feet sure were crying!

    I LOVE my FitBit!

  3. You don’t have to convince me … I’ve had the FitBit since February and it has helped me lose 28 pounds.

  4. I have a pedometer that I use when I go for walks, but it’s not nearly as fancy as the FitBit – I’d love one, I’m trying to justify the expense, but I want a new camera and a new laptop too…oi vey!

    • You want a lot of new things hehehe. At least the Fitbit will be cheaper then the other options… and you can’t compete against others with a camera. ;) With a laptop you can since you are a gamer too. LOL

  5. Thank you for reviewing this! I’ve been thinking about buying one myself. I really need to work out more, but it’s hard because I hate it so much. I need something that makes it fun! :)

  6. I have heard great things about the FitBit! I LOVE that you can compete with your friends, but I would NOT want to compete against Kim!

  7. I remember you telling me about this at BlogHer…I am looking into getting one too!

  8. I seriously need to get a Fitbit. I’ve been slacking lately with the workouts and I think it would make it more fun.

  9. I totally agree with the friendly competition part. Though I haven’t had mine synced in awhile. I need to put it on my pc a work since I haven’t been pulling the laptop out enough at home lately.
