Country Crock is doing their part in trying to “Spread the Loving of Vegetables” to all of the kids out their! And boy are they doing a great job in doing so! They are just trying to get families excited about veggies! Now my kids both love veggies and fruit, but I’m hoping to spread their love to other ones now.
They send me a wonderful “Veggie Party Kit” (Which 2 of my winners are also going to win! It’s a $100 retail value) which includes:
- Country Crock Samples
- Re-useable eco-friendly grocery tote
- “Today I Ate a Rainbow” kids calendar
- Vegetable Chopper
- Kids’ apron
- Gardening How-To Kit
- Vegetable Cookbook
Everything included in that kit is super awesome! Hunter has really been into wanting to plant seeds. So the “Gardening How-To Kit” which is actually a little veggie seed starter kit was right up our alley. He loved it! Super easy to plant the seeds in the planter provided and soon we’ll be having some tomatoes and yellow banana peppers to be eating, that he grew! Now what can get someone more excited about the veggies they are eating other than they actually grew them?
The “Today I Ate A Rainbow” kids’ calendar is so cute and works great! It’s all about magnets and the fridge. For each color of veggie or fruit they eat that day they put a star, circle or other shape on that color. Once they fill it all up for the day they can say “Today I Ate a Rainbow”. It has made Hunter actually start figuring out what color food he is eating, and wanting to get the other color filled. He has been using it each day since we got the kit last week. Also when we went shopping I was suggesting veggies we get so that we could fill up that chart! Bananas for yellow.. carrots for orange. Both kids have an apple a day so we always have red spot covered.
The kids’ apron is super cute! And will go great as we are using the Vegetable Cookbook to create some meals! We haven’t used the cookbook yet but I am loving it just flipping through it. So many great ideas on how to incorporate veggies into any meal, be it appetizer, side, or the main course! I did chopped up some carrots though and just steamed them.. and added Country Crock to them! Usually I’ll do glazed carrots but I figured it would just be a lot healthier to just add in the Country Crock. The whole family gobbled them up!
Did you know that Country Crock has 70% less saturated fat than butter, and it helps ensure that our veggies are not only nutritious but also delicious! Other than veggies it also tastes good on rice! Which is better than putting Soy Sauce on it in my opinion.
WIN IT! There will be 3 winners! 1 winner will be getting a $200 AMEX GC. The other 2 will be getting a Veggie Party Kit just like I got!
