Since it’s Baby Safety Month I thought I would share this infographic that Chicco made about the ages and stages of what your child should be in regarding car seats. It’s hard to keep up with changing recommendations so I wanted to share this with you!

Thanks for posting. Some parents simply just aren’t aware of how to properly install a car seat.
Nope a lot of people don’t realize how to do it!
I don’t know how I feel about the whole rear facing until 2nd birthday thing. I could hardly make it to their first birthday as it was. I’m big on properly installing them though. I love how the car seat manufacturers are making it easier. When Johnny was little it was recommended to use a pool noodle and monthly inspections.
Landon almost made it to 2. But he would fight me putting in there and it was way too much fuss and stress so I switched him. But it is safer for them to be read facing until then.
I’ve never heard about the pool noodle though! I’ll have to research that.
I confess neither of mine were rear facing til 2 but I’m big on the booster that Zoe is in. She’ll be in it forever!
I think they just changed it to 2. So no worries back then it was 1.
This is a great infographic! All the rules on car seats seem to change SO OFTEN!
Great infographic!! Thank you for posting this, it is so important.
Wow, 4 seems so young for a booster. I can’t believe my son will be 3 soon, argh!
You don’t have too though, I put Hunter in it after he turned 5… and only cause I was going to have a new baby, I’m tempted to put him back in the car seat.
